Welcome friends!

I'm Tracy and this is my blog. It's a mix of photography, art, writing, and life as I see it in 2011. Enjoy!

Summer

Time for an update!   I haven't disappeared or forgotten my (sadly neglected) blog.  Summer has been here and almost gone and I just haven't found the time to post.

We had a busy summer.  I could post a quick update and say it was filled with fun, beach days, camping, frozen treats, crafting and days by the pool... or I cold post that it was stressful, exhausting and a little miserable.

Both of these statements are equally true.

I spent the majority of the summer waiting for test results and dealing with disruptive and painful bladder/abdominal symptoms.  Waiting for results sucks.  It's stressful.  Exhausting.  A little  (a lot) miserable.  I had a scope, biopsy and a lot of scary doctors appointments.  I found myself functioning on auto pilot and limiting time spent with anyone other than family.  By mid August after a lot of pain and frustration it was clear that while all of this sucks, it's not as bad as everyone first thought.  None of the results showed anything malignant.  Just some cell changes in my bladder to keep an eye on.  I'm so thankful for that!

In between all of these appointments and crummy days, we managed the fun, beach days,  camping, frozen treats, crafting and days by the pool.  We spent a week at family summer camp, went camping twice with friends, the girls went to business camp (and made some $$!), diving camp and art/pottery camp and we spent a week in New Jersey.

We are finally home but planning to head north again in a few days to squeeze in one more week of summer before we get back into our school routine.

I have tons of summer pictures to sort through and share so I have a feeling I'm going to posting here a lot more often.  Prepare for some picture overload!

Those are some stunning pics! It sounds like your girls have had a great summer. I am sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well though. :(

I'm in love with that first photo and I always love seeing the girls gorgeous faces. Glad you had some fun this summer to even out that stress. xoxo Steph
