It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.

Welcome friends!

I'm Tracy and this is my blog. It's a mix of photography, art, writing, and life as I see it in 2011. Enjoy!

Update

So this week pretty much stinks.

I got my biopsy results back and one came back as skin cancer.

I received the results two days ago and had surgery on my hand (where it was) yesterday.

I didn't think the surgery was too bad at all until the freezing came out about 5 hours later.

It hurt(s)

A lot.

The other areas I had biopsied were fine.  I had asked to have this spot checked because I had this awful gut feeling something was wrong.   The Doctor initially told me it was fine, then the second time I saw him he told me again (quite rudely) not to worry or bother with it because it was nothing.

He was wrong.

I went with my gut and insisted he check it.  He made me pay for it out of pocket and was not nice about it.

He isn't my regular doctor (thank goodness) and I'm not going back to him ever again.

Thank goodness I have learned to be assertive and to trust my instincts.

I'm waiting for further pathology results.  I sure hope they got it all.

Today's Picture Colour images are from during and after a recent storm.   It appeared out of nowhere with lightening, strong winds and hail.  We were camping and it knocked down trees and power lines and made a wet mess of everything.

I love the light after a storm, it reminds me that even after something damaging, destructive and inconvenient something beautiful usually follows. :)

I'm sorry that the doctor was such a jerk, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they got all of the bad stuff out. Lots of hugs! In better news, I'll see you Sunday! Tell Esme that we'll be cheering from the sidelines. :)

Just like the light after the storm, there will be beautiful days after the pain from the surgury goes away. Love you Trace. ~Steph

OMG! That is horrible that a doctor would treat you like that. I am so sorry to hear about the diagnosis. I hope that's the end of that.

I'm so glad you stuck with your instincts and insisted that he check it, it's too bad he was such a jerk. Hopefully they got it all and that's the end of it.

So glad you didn't take his advice. I had 2 doctors say mine was ok. They have to cut so deep to get it all, so cut a lot of nerves etc, which makes it a really painful process when they all knit back together. 1 yr on and my lip is still numb. Hope you are feeling better soon Sue xx
