It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.

Welcome friends!

I'm Tracy and this is my blog. It's a mix of photography, art, writing, and life as I see it in 2011. Enjoy!

Playing catch up...

Phew!  What a long day yesterday.  We spent a good part of the day at the hospital at the Neuro-Ophthalmology Clinic.  Esmé had a few more tests done and we met with two different doctors.  Based on her history, symptoms and test results they feel she might have either intracranial hypertension or intracranial hypotension.  Basically a problem with her intracranial pressure.  They're recommending a spinal tap to determine which one it is but because she's so young and they usually deal with adult patients they want to wait and have the Pediatric Neurologist do the test.  It's frustrating because there's a long waiting list to see the Peds Neurologist and the earliest we can get in is in January after Christmas.  In the mean time we're going back to see her pediatrician, getting an EEG done, an ultrasound of her eyes and some other test where they inject dye into her arm and watch the blood supply to her eyes (and check for leaking cerebral spinal fluid).   This is all happening next week so we're going to busy before Christmas!  I just hope she feels well enough to enjoy all of the Christmas festivities.

We're hosting Christmas with Darin's family starting tomorrow for the weekend and I'm no where near ready.  It's going to be a long night of cleaning and baking tonight.  Fortunately I was able to do most of my shopping for his family online and I was able to find time to make a scarf for my SIL (the blue one Isabel's modeling in the picture below-see how it turned out?  It's the one from my last post!).  Christmas is usually my favourite time of year so despite Ez not feeling well and the worry that comes with that, we're going to do our best to relax and enjoy the next two weeks.  I've barely even started my shopping for the girls, Darin or my family so I'd better get busy!

Here's a picture of the cute ornaments my amazing friend Sonja sent us from Cincinnati.  Aren't they awesome?!

The scarf... all finished....  just need to wrap it!
My last minute attempt at putting together a Christmas picture for our cards.   It's a little late but we're playing catch up and I'm determined to get everything done in time for Christmas!

Love the ornaments, love the scarf, and the Christmas card. The photo you picked for the card is gorgeous. :)Enjoy the Christmas party this weekend. If you can't get that baking done maybe your hubby could just take a quick stop by a bakery... ;)
