It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.

Welcome friends!

I'm Tracy and this is my blog. It's a mix of photography, art, writing, and life as I see it in 2011. Enjoy!

Farewell 2011

Farewell 2011!  We made it through Christmas and managed to enjoy ourselves despite Esmé not feeling well.  We were spoiled in every way.  Some highlights of Christmas 2011: Lobster dinner (not once but twice!), gingerbread house making and an icing sugar snowstorm, cookie baking, birds at the window,  one piece jammies, puzzles, a new iPad for me (and Darin was given one as a gift from work too.... spoiled), hand made surprises (love the picture Ez made and had framed for me), turkey dinner, fort building (and sleeping in the living room) and spending lots of time with family!

A little update on Esmé.  She's still sick with a headache.  It's been over six weeks now.  Her vision is blurry around the sides, she's having 'black flashes,' throat and neck pain and a bunch of other random symptoms each day.  A couple days ago the Peds Neruology clinic called and sent her for a second MRI with contrast that included her neck.  She has an appointment at the Pediatric Neurology Clinic on January 16th but hopefully we'll hear from them before that.

Right now the working diagnosis is intracranial hypotension.  The doctors think she may have torn the dura around her spinal cord when she passed  out and crashed head first into the netting around the trampoline at her diving dryland training.  They think she has a cerebral spinal fluid leak that started out slowly and got worse when she was diving a few days later... progressing to a chronic low CSF condition where her body can't make CSF as fast as it's leaking (causing all of her symptoms).  Apparently it's quite hard to diagnose.  We're really hoping that this is what it is.  At this point we need some answers and so far this is the only thing that seems to fit.  Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. xx

Happy New Year Friends!

Tracy

Poor E. :( I really hope these issues get resolved soon. That is so awful. On a brighter note, how cute does she look in those one piece pjs?! I love those. And yay for Ipads! I gave up on my pursuit of an Ipad in exchange for the Playbook. I love it though. Hope you enjoy your Ipad. Well, I'm sure you will. ;) And I REALLY hope that 2012 brings you a great year- starting with E's health.

Wow, i was really really praying that there'd be an answer by now, and she'd be on the road to 100%.
I will continue to pray.
