I resolve...

A new year, new goals. 

In 2011 I resolve to... 

*Rid my house of clutter and have less stuff.  I have a basement full of too small kid's clothes, unused toys, books and junk.  I might even tackle my art room.  If you know me in person don't laugh, I said might.

*Get up an hour before the kids do more often than I do now.  Tricky when you have a nine year old early bird who likes to set her alarm for 6:30am. Even on the weekends.

*Get healthy, walk more and lose that extra twenty pounds (ten of which I've gained in the last year or so).   I refuse to buy clothes in the next size up so it's time to get off my butt and do something about it!

*Finish one room or household project a month.  We've lived here for five years now and we still don't have a single room completely finished.

* Make more time for friends and entertaining, be less busy!

*Try one new recipe a week.

*Keep up with my project 365 (see the link at the top left of this page?  That's my new 2012 365 blog!)

*Do more art with the girls (had to add something fun and easy to accomplish).

*Teach the girls how to write a proper essay (we've been pretty math focused, time to change things up a bit on the homeschooling front).  Write something alone or together every day.

*Learn to use my flash (finally).

*Be in more pictures (I hate this one but I need to get over myself already).

As a start, I snapped this picture of myself with my phone and decided that no matter how awful it was I was going to post the first one I took, no retakes.  See the mess?   It's Isabel's room contents in the middle of my living room because we're painting.  The mirror on the floor I'm looking into is hers.  I'm wearing track pants, a t-shirt and I haven't brushed my hair today.  I'm okay with that.
