It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.

Welcome friends!

I'm Tracy and this is my blog. It's a mix of photography, art, writing, and life as I see it in 2011. Enjoy!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year friends!  I'm wishing you all a happy, healthy and love filled 2011.

We rang in the New Year quietly at home with the girls staying up playing Settlers of Catan and eating munchies.  The girls managed to stay up with barely a yawn this year and had great fun announcing 2010 banging pots an pans as loud as they could in the street.   It was a perfect night and I can't imagine wanting anything more.

I'm participating in an online project called  "Picture Winter" with Tracey Clark which starts today.  It consists of a series of daily photo prompts to honour winter.   Here's the link if you want to join me, it's not too late to sign up!  http://www.bigpictureclasses.com/picturewinter.php

We woke up to warm temps, fog and rain this morning.   I'm without a proper camera for a little while longer but thankfully I have my phone.

Here is my photo for today.

I found you through picture winter. You have a beautiful blog. If this is what you can do with a phone, I can't imagine what you'll do with your new camera!

Hi there -When I was scanning the posted photos today on picture winter and I wanted to leave a comment on your picture but could not figure out how unless I created an account on hotmail ( do you know any other way ?) anyways I loved your photo -I felt it exemplified restfulness. Then I come here and see you took the pix with your phone ! Here I am I was so not going to post my photo -I have a point and shoot want a canon or a rebel and I was not going to post among all of the amazing creativity -But I'm glad I did and I am going to stick with this and learn as much as possible --I am working on creating a blog trying to polish it before putting it out there :-) It will have my photos but it certainly won't be me discussing photography lol -so glad I found your blog
Happy New Year ,

Hi there! I'm in Picture Winter, too, although I started a little late, at the end of Day 2 (and I can't figure out how to reply on the Message Boards!). I love the look of your photos, the post-processing, and your blog overall. Looking forward to seeing more.
