Welcome friends!

I'm Tracy and this is my blog. It's a mix of photography, art, writing, and life as I see it in 2011. Enjoy!

Everyday Use

An exciting day today.  I finally picked up my new camera!  I was going to wait for the Nikon D800 to be released but I've heard rumors that it may be a few months yet and I just. couldn't. wait.

The day started out great but unfortunately I've had a sore back for the last few months and it's gradually worsened.  This afternoon it became almost unbearable and I ended up at the hospital.

I wish a simple sore back could be just that, but after the year I've had, going to the doctor's is never simple.  I have to  go for an MRI as soon as possible to rule out a lesion on my spine.  I hate this.  It seems like every time I feel like I'm moving forward it catches up to me.  Since I won't know anything for at least a couple of weeks I'm going to assume it's just a simple back injury and try not to think about it.

Earlier in the day I sat down for a nice hot cup of tea before I cleared the table and tackled the dismantling of the Christmas tree (although in the end Darin did most of the work, my back was too sore).

I didn't have much time to play with my new camera but I did take a couple quick shots.  Today's Picture Winter theme was "everyday use".  I think my new camera and my tea pot both fit the bill.

I'm so sorry you've not been feeling well. :( At the same time, I'm happy you have your new camera. I don't think I could have waited another month either. The pictures are lovely as is the teapot. Take care.

Yay for the new camera!!! Love the first few shots...
Prayers that this is just a normal, run-of-the-mill strained back and that you feel better very soon. ((gentle hug))!
