"All the possibilities..." was today's Picture winter prompt. I was playing with my water colours today and Isabel was watching over my shoulder. I knew she was dying to give it a try.
She saw "all the possibilities."
I got up, snapped a picture with my phone and let her finish the painting.
Today we took the girls skiing with some local homeschooling friends. It was the perfect way to ease back into our non-routine routine. They had a blast in the fresh air connecting with their friends again. They've been skiing since they were three years old and love to spend time at the hill. Today they took a lesson for the first time in years. When I told them about the lesson, they were shocked. "We don't need a lesson! we already know how to ski!" they exclaimed. I told them there is always more to learn and further potential to be explored no matter what where their natural talents lie. We had a great discussion about it and in the end... they learned something (and they were pretty happy with themselves!). I hope this is a lesson that sticks with them because I feel it's an important one.
One more sky shot... just because it's pretty.

I love Isabel's watercolour! That is kind of cute that they have such great self confidence that they "don't need a lesson." ;)
